- What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal of this project is to create a PR & marketing strategy that will maximize our exposure around the launch of our latest product. This is part one of a two-part project: part one involves setting up the PR plan & sourcing the media outlets to reach out to; part two involves reaching out and monitoring media activity. See the tasks for more details.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Part 1 (this project)
- Develop a PR and marketing plan: outlines the PR and marketing tactics to be used, media outlets to be targeted, and timeline for each activity.
- Identify relevant media outlets: identify media outlets that are relevant to the product, industry, and target audience.
- Create media list: includes contact details of relevant journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets.
- Craft email templates: to send to the media outlets, incl. info about the product, key features, benefits, & UVP.
Part 2 (next project)
- Reach out to media outlets: via email, phone, or social media, to pitch the product and generate media coverage.
- Monitor media coverage: track the impact of the PR and marketing campaign
- Evaluate results: incl. the ROI and media coverage, and use the insights to improve future PR and marketing strategies.
- Provide ongoing PR support: incl. developing and executing PR campaigns, responding to media inquiries, and managing the company's reputation.
