The main goal of this project is to develop interpretive resources to help interpreters effectively animate a museum ship. It will also provide resources to help interpreters address challenging and confronting questions about military history.

Deliverables

The incumbent with research and write template tours for various audiences such as service personnel, cadets, STEM groups, history groups, kids camps, tailoring each to the interests and age group of each one.

The incumbent will also create a list a difficult questions typically asked by the public and using sound historical thinking, formulate responses to difficult questions/politically sensitive issues. These will become print resources that are used in staff training.

Mentorship

Students will have access to university library system and support from university staff trained in historical methods and research as well as public history.
