Are you a skilled animator looking for a fun and rewarding project to put on your portfolio?

My name is Colin Dunbar, and I am looking for someone to help animate a book trailer to showcase my series Nine Bodies in a Puddle. This is the perfect opportunity to get some experience with producing animated content and a great chance to make your portfolio shine.

The project will consist of eight scenes and should build up to a 1-3 minute animated short. While we provide the concept, you will entirely lead this project, and have a good amount of creative control over the animation!

This project is intended for students who have already completed an Animated Book Trailer internship with us and are looking to further refine/develop their animated project.

Here is a breakdown of what the internship will look like.

5 Hours - Read Nine Bodies in a Puddle. (Don't worry - the book is only 148 pages. The E-Book will be provided to you).

5 Hours - Create a storyboard. We will give you a concept, and from there, you can create a storyboard! Submit the storyboard to us and we will review it. We will let you know if any changes need to be made before moving onto the next step.

8 hours x 8 - The trailer will be divided into eight very short scenes. (A spider crawling across a paper plate, a person disappearing into a lake, a clown staring at their reflection, and other similar scenes).

6 hours - for the final six hours of the project, we will work directly together on call to pull the project together. Music, sound design, and more! We will show you our edits of the animation, and then share it with the world on our social media channels!

This layout may change based on previous developments of animations made through this project. We will discuss the details in depth during your kick-off call!

-We will provide an outline for the project, including written details about what needs to be animated.

-We will do regular progress check-ins at a mutually agreed-upon interval. (Weekly, bi-weekly, etc.)

-We will adjust the scope of the project, with your agreement, if you are unable to complete all eight scenes within eighty hours.

-We may be able to provide certain pieces of software for animation. If you already have access to software you can use to animate, that is a plus! Please let us know if software is needed in advance.
