Details

The research assistant will support data analysis and interpretation, as well as knowledge mobilization activities (e.g., preparing publications) under the guidance of Dr. Eric Legge, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at MacEwan University.

Deliverables

The project may include, but is not limited to:

  • Planning and performing data analysis (e.g., regression, factor analysis, ANOVA, ANCOVA) on a large dataset using SPSS/JASP.
  • Interpretation and summarization of data analysis outputs.
  • Liaising with statistical consultants and integrating their feedback into project workflows.
  • Supporting the project by surveying relevant literature and integrating relevant literature with project findings.
  • Developing/writing a scientific publication based on project outcomes and existing literature.
  • Assisting with identifying new areas of inquiry and funding sources. Assisting with writing grant applications (particularly with regards to conceptualization and articulation of past work and new directions).

This project will require 80-hours of work over an 8-week period. The majority of this work can be done remotely.

The project is expected to begin Aug. 15 (negotiable).

Mentorship

The student will work closely with the supervising primary project manager, Dr. Eric Legge, who is available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the student's tasks and duties may be made if necessary.
