What is the main goal for this project?

Low Entropy is a registered charity that focuses on mental health, community building, and connection through authenticity. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers to join our Virtual Community Builders team as an Event Planner!

As an Event Planning member, you will be joining an amazing team of kind, supportive and creative people who come together to create virtual events for the Low Entropy community. Your responsibilities include attending weekly brainstorming meetings via Zoom and collaborating with team members to plan and promote the events. There will also be opportunities to be an Event Lead where you will be responsible for overseeing the entire planning and organization of an event, as well as opportunities to facilitate or host an event. This position is completely remote and can be flexible with other commitments or schedules.

No previous experience is required. Each event that we put on is a team effort. If you can offer commitment, passion and new ideas, then we want you on our team!

Qualifications:

Organized and motivated.

Creative and detail-oriented.

Ability to collaborate and work well in a team as well as independently.

About the company

Entropy is the measurement of disorder. A chaotic and disorderly state can be said to have high entropy, whereas an efficient, harmonious state—a state of stability, order, and balance—is considered as a low entropy state.

This is why we’ve taken up a mission as the Low Entropy Foundation. We strive to reduce the entropy in our social system to nurture a more loving, respectful humanity—a caring, global family that supports and cares for one another.
