Project Scope

Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for a team of 1 to 5 students.

Project Objective

Our organization will be embarking on a website redesign and rebranding initiative. We are looking for updated options for our logo, educational resources and materials, website and social media and fundraising tools. We are also looking for assistance to better understand the impact and define our branding through market research of competitors and other non-profits for branding.

1. Create 3 branding options for logo

a. Using current logo and colours (with background and history of logo)

b. Update logo and colours

c. Create completely new logo and colour scheme

2. Assist with development and modernization of website look and layout.

Branding and colour scheme needs to work for website, social media and fundraising tools.

Create a template/structure/guideline for social media posts.

Need to ensure not infringing on other non-profit or corporate branding and logos.

Our goal at the end of this experience is: Fully developed options for branded materials.

Other duties the student may complete could include: Social media imaging and marketing, fundraising recommendations (programs or activities they may find during research that may be good fit for our organization)

How will you support learners in completing the project?

Our team is available to answer any questions and clarify objectives or tasks.

About the company

The Canadian Congenital Heart Alliance (CCHA) is a national, volunteer-run registered charitable organization advocating on behalf of children and adults living with congenital heart disease (CHD). Mission: We advocate for and enrich the lives of people with CHD through awareness, education, research and support. Vision: To be the leading voice for enriching the lives of Canadians with CHD. Value Statement: Building a dedicated CHD community that fosters compassion, empowerment and collaboration. 1 in 100 babies are born with a congenital heart defect. Over 250,000 Canadians live with CHD, sadly, there is no cure. Most will require specialized, life-long cardiac care. At least half face the prospect of multiple surgeries and/or premature death, and many develop psycho-social challenges brought on by their condition, such as anxiety, depression, isolation and financial hardship. Fewer resources are available to those with CHD than other cardiac patients and CHD research is underfunded.
