Project Goal:

With podcasts becoming an increasingly popular content format, our company aims to leverage this medium to engage our target audience. For this project, we are seeking students to collaborate with us in editing and promoting a podcast series. The goal is for students to edit existing podcast content and create engaging short clips, then post the full episodes and clips across various social media channels to boost brand visibility.

Tasks and Activities:

Students will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Editing the Podcast Episodes:
  • Use Riverside or Descript (both tools will be provided) to edit the raw podcast content, ensuring the final episodes are polished and professional.
  • Cut the full episodes into shorter, engaging clips suitable for social media.
  1. Content Upload and Distribution:
  • Post the full episodes and short clips to platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, and other social media channels.
  • Ensure that the content is optimized for each platform’s requirements (e.g., video size, length, captions).
  1. Brand Promotion:
  • Incorporate brand mentions and calls to action in the content, ensuring that the episodes subtly promote our company while keeping the content engaging for the audience.

Final Deliverables:

At the end of the project, students will submit:

  1. Edited Podcast Episodes:
  • A fully edited 5-episode podcast series, ready for release.
  1. Short Clips for Social Media:
  • A series of engaging short clips (e.g., 30-60 seconds) optimized for sharing on platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  1. Social Media Posting Report:
  • A summary of where and when the episodes and clips were posted, along with any engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares) available at the time of submission.

How We Will Support Students:

Throughout the project, students will receive mentorship and support from our team. We will be available to answer questions such as:

  • What specific aspects of the podcast episodes should be highlighted for our target audience?
  • How can we best incorporate our brand into the podcast and social media clips without interrupting the flow?
  • What are the best practices for engaging our audience across different social media platforms?

Additionally, we will guide students in using Riverside or Descript to edit and refine the podcast content.

  • By clearly defining the tasks and providing guidance, students will be well-equipped to contribute to the success of our podcast marketing campaign.
