We would like to have an in-house tool to easily keep track of all the data we have collected about each property and perform quick calculation analysis on them.

Currently, we have a staff performing the following:

• Look at each property online on realtor.ca
• Enter each property interested into a spreadsheet.
• Enter all the additional information about the property in the spreadsheet.
• If the additional information includes files, put them in a drive somewhere.
• Manually do the property analysis calculation on the spreadsheet.

This process is very labour intensive and tedious. It would be fabulous if we have a tool that acts as a Property CRM for us to easily keep track of the properties we reviewed, researched and allow us to enter all the additional information associated with the property.

The Property CRM project will broken into three separate Riipen projects:

Project 3 - Getting real real estate data

• This project is to research and prototype on how to access the IDX data.
• Store the IDX data into a database
• Bulk load of new IDX data
• Scheduler for periodic bulk load

Weekly or more frequent meeting with students to ensure they understand the task. We also have technical resources to ensure that the design make technical sense.
