Details

A user's library is made up of blocks. The types of blocks users can save are image blocks, set blocks (i.e. moodboards) and colour blocks (i.e. colour palettes).

Visualist generates a block detail card for each block type. The block detail card contains relevant information about the block, such as: colour palettes, clips to boards, tags, stickies (notes) and the original source from where the block was saved.

Visualist is in the process of updating the design of our block detail card. Based on user feedback:

  1. The information in the block detail card is not displayed in an intuitive manner
  2. The user is not encouraged enough to take action on their block (some features are hidden from the interface)
  3. The current design doesn't account for new capabilities we plan to introduce soon (e.g. colour themes.

We are seeking your support in auditing the existing designs, creating improved UX flows to display the information, as well as incorporating new features.

Deliverables
  • Project Plan - Identify milestones and set a timeline for the project
  • Review existing feedback & competitors - Understand the feedback and knowledge that already exists about the block detail card, and identify gaps to be filled in the next stage.
  • UX Audit - Conduct a UX Audit of the existing designs. Identify pain points, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • UX Design - Use the findings from the audit to create UX solutions that fulfil the defined product requirements. Design flows that will improve the experience for Visualist customers on the block detail card.
  • UI Design - Create wireframe for the block detail card.
Mentorship
  • Preparation of any relevant resources and assets in advance of the kick off call
  • Weekly check-in calls and sync/async discussions or answers to questions
  • Prompt response and feedback at every stage of the process
  • Allow the learners to share the work they do for us in job search materials
