We want students to help us with competitive landscape analysis of the industrial market.

We would like students to illustrate the competitive landscape by looking into the following subsegments tilt-up, pre-cast, load bearing precast, insulated metal cladding, cross-laminated and panalised timber with rain screens. There is a geographical scope with it. Please refer to the map attached. Topics of interest:

• Which building method currently dominates in those areas, ideally identify subregions and illustrate dominating method.
• What is the current price per sq ft. for relevant/used methods within those sub-regions?
• Who are the largest players within the sub-regions (developers) - revenue, headcount, value prop, sustainability, target audience, marquee clients, and segments they go after?
• What are the political, tax, and regulatory aspects of the region?
• Which region would you recommend going after?

• Excel sheet with a list of competitors, for each aspect one column, ideally possible to filter - please hyperlink company websites.
• Pestle and Porters 5 Forces
• Handout which explains findings and summarizes the analysis.

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project. We encourage students to do their own research to understand the basics and differences between the different construction methods. Information is readily available on the web.
