Project Overview: This project involves creating a comprehensive social media strategy for the Rihlah Institute, an educational organization dedicated to providing knowledge and resources on Islamic studies, spirituality, and personal development. The project will focus on enhancing the institute's online presence, engaging with its target audience, and expanding its reach across various social media platforms.


Objectives:

  1. Audience Analysis: Conduct research to identify and understand the target audience for Rihlah Institute's content. This includes analyzing demographics, interests, and online behaviors.
  2. Platform Selection: Determine the most effective social media platforms for the institute to focus on based on audience preferences and content type.
  3. Content Strategy: Develop a content calendar and strategy that aligns with Rihlah Institute's mission and goals. This includes creating and curating content that is educational, inspiring, and engaging.
  4. Engagement Tactics: Implement strategies to increase engagement, including interactive posts, Q&A sessions, and live streams.
  5. Brand Voice and Messaging: Define the institute’s brand voice and ensure consistency across all social media platforms.
  6. Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of the social media strategy and make data-driven adjustments.
  7. Collaboration and Outreach: Identify opportunities for collaboration with influencers, scholars, and related organizations to broaden the institute’s reach.
  8. Reporting and Analysis: Regularly analyze social media performance and prepare reports with insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.


Supervision: The student will work under the guidance of a mentor or project supervisor who will provide direction, feedback, and support throughout the project.


Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Creativity in content creation and campaign planning.
  • Familiarity with Islamic studies and cultural sensitivity is a plus.

Expected Outcomes:

Final Deliverables:

  • The student will be required to submit a short report of the efficacy of their strategy implementation, and a reflection on their experience.
Mentorship

Students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
