About the Project

For this project with Understory, your goal will be to grow Understory’s resources of articles, company profiles, whitepapers, and more. This is a great opportunity to establish a comprehensive portfolio of work showcasing experience in content writing, research & analysis, and copy editing. You will gain experience building a portfolio in a global impact topic.

The scope of the project includes:

• Author 7-10 articles for the Understory website summarizing specific startup innovators, market problems, and the solutions that each company has developed.
• Write 4-6 podcast episode summaries and copyedit episode transcripts which are posted to the Understory website and all major podcast platforms.
• Contribute research and analysis to climate and sustainability tech whitepapers.
• Support the weekly newsletter with content curation as needed.
• Engage our growing community on Slack via content curation

This is a part-time, virtual project with a flexible schedule.

The student will meet directly with the Co-Founders of Understory on at least a weekly basis to provide direction and feedback on project activities. The student will also have the ability to network with other members of the Understory community - corporate leaders, investors & entrepreneurs. This is a great opportunity for diverse exposure and mentorship.
