influencing skills experimental software engineering motor control data analysis data collection researchI have positions available for 2 students for 80 hours to learn how to collect and statistically analyze data from participants who will complete visuomotor learning tasks that require them to adapt to optically displacing prism goggles while reaching to targets. These data will help us better understand how different types of visual information influence motor learning, and how different parts of the brain are involved in visuomotor learning. The students will gain hands-on experience with data collection and develop their data analysis skills. Each student will be asked to prepare a final report summarizing their findings.
- Learn how to administer the visuomotor learning tasks and collect the necessary data
- Learn how to use the experimental software
- complete 60 hours of in-person data collection at MacEwan University
- complete 20 hours of data analysis and statistics (student can perform this work remotely)
I will provide all of the necessary training, equipment, and computer hardware and software resources necessary to complete the project. I will also be directly involved in training the students as well as assisting with data analysis. I will meet with the students at least once per week to monitor progress and provide assistance and feedback as needed.
