We want to build an AI model to help internal users and customers turn transactional data into meaningful information using natural language queries. The project will use LangChain, OpenAI, and internal data (Postgres SQL) to build a search engine that internal employees and customers can query to get insights about the data. For example, someone can ask: "How many people on scheduled to work at X location on Y date?" or "What is the fulfillment rate at X company and Y location for the month of Z?"

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

• Knowledge of AI, ML, and natural language queries
• Understanding of databases
• Understanding of LangChain technology and OpenAI

Bonus steps would include:

• Testing prototype models with users and iterating designs to improve them

Final deliverables should include

• Code developed for the recommendation model.
• Recommendations supporting the model’s validity, which may be assessed subjectively.
• A written report describing the technologies that were used, the challenges that were faced, the model’s final outcomes, and recommendations for the project’s next steps.
