Walmart Media Group is an advertising platform that reaches and influences shoppers along their path of discovery and purchase. Fuelled by an in-depth understanding of shopper behaviour, Walmart Media Group delivers tailored, data-driven advertising solutions to partner brands who want to connect with consumers when and where it matters most.
The only thing constant about the digital media landscape today is change! With emerging technologies and capabilities, Walmart Media Group needs to stay ahead of the curb to ensure we deliver on innovation in our media offering to advertisers, all while maintaining a positive user experience for Walmart.ca customers.
The student project scope will include:
- analysis of Walmart Canada and Walmart Media Group (SWOT analysis)
- analysis of the retail landscape in Canada, and the retail media industry (including a competitive review)
Project objectives:
- determine if Walmart Media Group's digital media offering aligns to advertiser/industry demand (how do we keep up today, and what are the areas we need to plan for to stay competitive over the next 3 years)
- create recommendations for digital strategy (including display, native, mobile, video and social marketing, etc.)
- make recommendations to maintain a positive user experience for Walmart customer, while driving opportunities for advertisers to engage with customers on Walmart.ca
Resources:
- identify digital media opportunities through an industry analysis, bench marking against the current media product offering (access to tools such as eMarketer/ComScore will be available).
Overall objective is to identify gaps in the current offering to digital media industry evolution.
The group of student-consultants will submit a written plan, specific to your company's growth opportunities, which will be accompanied by a 15-minute presentation.
