What is the main goal for this project?

How does a local app looking to build communities break through a crowded field to connect people? We need an innovative, powerful, memorable, meaningful, inspiring marketing campaign to get our name out there and create buzz. This project challenges students to learn what it takes to move people from social media posts to take measurable action.

The primary project goals are to:

• To establish the brand voice of MyLife

• To create marketing messages that will resonate and engage potential:

• clients (i.e., bars, restaurants, museums, churches, and every type of event promoter)

• Consumers (Mobile app users looking for entertainment or social options)

Project tasks include:

  • Use existing documentation to create new messaging templates and brand styles.
  • Helping build our brands story
  1. What’s our 30 second or elevator pitch
  2. Messaging that’s relatable
  • Images or videos that tell our story
  • Analyzing our competitors and review other successful brands to create engagement messaging
  • Successful brand examples: Jack in the box, Progressive Insurance, Budweiser – wassup, Doritos - Superbowl
  • Creating fun, engaging content for prominent social media websites (Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram)

Build a strategy document outline:

• Social media strategies and requirements to increase engagement with all social platforms that create followers, likes, shares, etc.

• Content Calendar: A one-month plan and outlook of the deployment of all our social media content to drive maximum traffic to our site (blog posts, Instagram/Twitter posts)

We’re excited to work with students who can help us not only brainstorm but also execute a strategy to:

• Increase social media engagement and organic search and site traffic

• Using Hubspot and the various platforms, we will track and analyze our successes and failures

This is an excellent project for students to prove their brand-building creative and digital marketing expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.
