What is the main goal for this project?

We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.

Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools.

Developing, implementing and managing our social media strategy by creating a content calendar;

Researching audience preferences and discovering current trends within our demographic, reporting relevant insights;

Creating (and coordinating) engaging captions and content for social media posts on various platforms;

Working with social media director(s) to ensure content is informative and appealing;

and scheduling content on our platforms either manually or through marketing tools.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:

  • Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics
  • Assist with a social media video launch to promote our organization
  • Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector
  • Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story
  • create content, schedule and run social media ads
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will be working remotely on the project for 80 hours. They will be required to participate in meetings and conference calls via Google Meet or Zoom and they will report to a social media director. There will be a training process and the student will be in contact with their director and CEO on a daily basis, as they will be available to answer any questions and guide them through the project.
