- What is the main goal for this project?

My name is Dona Baker and I am a singer songwriter who produces music under the performance name Marley Boyd in an incorporated business 1820374 Alberta Ltd. My Soundcloud account with samples of my music is at: https://soundcloud.com/dona-baker-333825320
I am looking to have a website built on Wordpress or an equivalent platform (no preference).
Students should be prepared to:
- Conduct a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable.
- Create a design proposal including wireframes or low-fidelity mockups for our owner's review.
- Build a fully-functioning website, with my assistance in providing content and copy.
- Provide training on updating and maintaining the site.
Note: I own the URL's for both my performance name, Marley Boyd and my real name Dona Baker.
The Project Scope will entail:
- Creating visuals for an audience that favours jazz & blues music
- Website has a Landing page, an About the Artist page, Song Recordings page, and a Contact page
- I plan to change / add content to the page on a monthly basis.
- I do not have time to learn the technical skills to update the website, but have access to a developer who works in WordPress.

- What I like about the above websites are the darker, moodier colours in the first two. I like darker hues for portraying blues music. Also like that the About, Songs, Recordings etc. links are obviously placed. I like the third website as the singer has done a good job of promoting her songs and her fan club products in a way that is informative and interactive.
- Budget for the project $3,500 - can expand this if needed after the initial consultation.

Under my performance name Marley Boyd. My goal with an artist website is to put my songs out into the world and help them find their audience. I specialize in contemporary adult songs with a leaning to blues and jazz. My lyrics focus on experiences from which I have learned and emotions that are associated with the passages we make in life.
When I am not singing or song writing, I am the co-founder and Head of People Development at Whyworks.com. In that company, I work with individuals on finding their “why” of what they are good at and more importantly, what they like to do.
In my work, I am inspired by people who never give up learning and growing from their experiences. Singing and song writing has been that challenge for me. After 15 years of vocal coaching, I am just at a point now where I feel my art is ready to share. I am hoping I can partner with someone through the Level Up program to help me with the next part of my artist journey.
