Project Overview:

We would like to invite ASU students to volunteer as event photographers during our soirée. This project will allow them to experience a professional event setting, enhance their portfolios with high-quality event photography, and engage directly with our community, including prominent business and community leaders from Phoenix.

Project Objectives:

  • Capture Event Photography: Students will be responsible for photographing both candid and posed shots of guests, including specific photo opportunities at our designated photo wall.
  • Photo Management: Students will keep track of the photos they take and later match them with guest emails provided during the event.
  • Guest Engagement: Optionally, students can follow up with guests by emailing their photos and potentially inviting them for future photoshoots, which could help in building their professional network.

Deliverables

Learning Outcomes:

  • Portfolio Development: Students will gain professional-level photography experience, adding valuable content to their portfolios.
  • Networking: The event provides a platform for students to connect with influential individuals, which may lead to future professional opportunities.
  • Real-World Application: This project allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world scenario, helping them develop essential professional skills.

Recognition and Acknowledgement: Each participating student will receive a thank-you recognition letter from The Opportunity Tree, which they can include in their professional portfolios.
