Project scope
- What is the main goal for this project?
-
- Our company would like to explore designing a prototype for a mobile application version of a card game called 'Twelve'. We would like a group of students to design a prototype mobile application for this game that would function on both iOS and Android.
This will involve:
- Conduct background research of existing mobile application for the game.
- Identify key areas of the game and how they might translate to a mobile application.
- Learn and use various software design tools. We strongly recommend students learn how to use Figma as it is the latest and greatest tool currently available.
- Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype of a native mobile application which can be used on both iOS and Android.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
-
By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:
- Familiarize themselves with the card game 'Twelve'.
- Familiarize themselves with a design tool of their choosing and understand how it work. We recommend Figma.
- Design and build inside of the design tool all the needed screens for a mobile card game application prototype of our card game.
- Present the final card game design screens to us with the context of all their choices they made, problems they encountered, and next steps they recommend.
Bonus steps would include:
- Conducting UX / UI testing with potential users using paper prototypes or other software tools to support this.
Final deliverables should include:
- The card game design screens and all assets in a shareable format
- A presentation as stated above of the final designs
