- What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal for this project is to explore innovative and fresh UI and UX ideas for the current website of Cross-Checks Background Reporting Inc., which was made using WordPress but is not yet complete. The aim is to enhance user experience and provide a robust background reporting solution for clients, ultimately helping them mitigate risk and meet their obligation to due care.
This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:
- Conducting background research on our existing web application for the product. We are happy to provide a walkthrough and other resources to help bring them up to speed.
- Identifying key areas of our current website and what areas of focused might return the best results in design changes.
- Learning and using various software design tools. We strongly recommend students learn how to use Figma as this is the latest and greatest tool currently available.
- Creation of a screen-by-screen UX / UI prototype of a web application which can be used on all major browsers and be mobile friendly.
- Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving software tools to support this.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:
- Familiarize themselves with our existing website and products
- Familiarize themselves with a design tool of their choosing and understand how it works. We strongly recommend Figma.
- Design and build inside of the design tool all the needed screens for a redesigned prototype of our product
- Present the final design screens to us with the context of all their choices they made, problems they encountered, and next steps they recommend.
Final deliverables should include:
- A detailed report outlining the design process, user feedback, and proposed improvements.
- High-fidelity prototype designs for the website.
- A presentation as stated above of the final designs

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Current product understanding
- Any sort of branding or styling advice
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter

Please note that the VERIFIED platform is the current project. Upon completion, it will connect to Cross-Checks and other background check companies platforms via API. This will enable secure storage of background check information and sharing through a digital badge.
