About Alynea

Alynea is a cutting-edge AI-powered software designed to help local governments streamline the building permit process. Our mission is to modernize permitting, making it easier and more efficient for both jurisdictions and applicants.


We are looking for highly motivated Business Development Interns to help expand our reach by contacting city governments and introducing them to Alynea. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on sales and business development experience in the government technology space.

Deliverables

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound cold calls to city officials and municipal departments to introduce Alynea.
  • Identify key decision-makers and gather relevant contact information.
  • Present Alynea’s value proposition and answer basic questions about the platform.
  • Follow up with prospects via phone and email to nurture relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions in our CRM system.
  • Work closely with the founding team to refine messaging and sales strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and handling objections professionally.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and meet outreach goals.
  • Basic proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cold calling, sales, or customer service.
  • Interest in government operations, SaaS, or AI-driven technology.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce (training can be provided).
