The Arts Amplifier is an innovative career development initiative in UBC"s Faculty of Arts that supports graduate students at the Masters and PhD level, as well as postdoctoral fellows, in gaining meaningful work experience outside of academia. Students should be prepared to:

  • Write up articles for publication venues such as University Affairs, Inside Higher Ed, Chronicle of Higher Education
  • Draw on their own lived experiences in grad school but also be able to write about events and programs based on information provided
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills

This position is only available to UBC students.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  • Students will need to gain familiarity with our programs through our website and directly from our employees.
  • Students will create 2-3 non-research articles for academic and University-related personnel of about 1,000-1,500 words each.
