communication strategies advocacy cross-functional collaboration user experience (ux) public opinion algorithms competitive analysis communication user experience (ux) design strategic managementIn today's digital age, trust and transparency are critical for tech companies to maintain a positive reputation and customer loyalty. Consider, the fallout between Open.AI founder Sam Altman + his founding team, Apple's "privacy first" marketing aimed to increase trust, and all the critical memes and commentary on Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook/Meta. Trust is more important than ever.
This project aims to assess the current strategies employed by Apple to foster trust and transparency within its ecosystem, with some focus on new "AI" products and services (E.g. Apple Intelligence / multimodal AI). How can Apple build trust? Is AI a fraud? The goal is to identify areas of improvement and develop actionable strategies that can be practically implemented. Learners will conduct a comprehensive analysis of Apple's existing policies, product marketing/coms strategies, public statements, investments in technologies (e.g. R&D, patents).
By applying a truly holistic, interdisciplinary, "systems view", the team will explore how Apple can strengthen its trust and transparency initiatives to increase user trust - compared to other companies in AI. The project will focus on closely related tasks such as policy evaluation, stakeholder analysis, and strategy development, ensuring a cohesive approach.
