Details

This project is a collaboration between the University of Alberta Rehabilitation Robotics Lab and Kinetisense Inc.

We are looking to gain a better understanding of our target market for a novel product to ensure we are positioning ourselves in the right segment, offering a quality product, and creating the best marketing messages. The focus of this project is on the commercialization of a virtual rehabilitation assessment platform and is a combination of private and public sector revenue sources. This work is also funded by Alberta Innovates AICE Validate, with the view to preparing this technology for an international marketplace.

To help us accomplish this, you should provide:

  • A branding analysis and possible direction for rebranding
  • A complete analysis of our current offerings, our target market, and the positioning of our brand.
  • Feedback on our brand, product, service, etc. from potential and actual customers
  • Execute further market research to develop a comprehensive report of our target market.
  • A detailed strategy to assist us in moving forward with our product into local and international markets.

We will provide you with access to organizational assets that support the project, including personnel, technical information, and visual marketing materials from both the Rehab Robotics Lab and Kinetisense Inc.

We hope to gain a comprehensive understanding of our target markets and how we can meet their needs and expand successfully. We would like recommendations on how to improve our positioning, brand, and products to better suit the diverse needs of our customer base.

Mentorship

The Rehabilitation Robotics Lab has a comprehensive mentorship program for trainees. We are also providing leadership for an NSERC CREATE program with a focus on commercialization of medical devices. We also provide leadership for ST Innovations, which is a group within the SMART Network that supports the commercialization of health technologies. Our collaborators from Kinetisense meet with us on a weekly basis and will be directly involved in the co-mentorship of all trainees.
