PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Our organization needs some programing & event planning help! We are looking for someone that can help amplify what makes us unique and can support our artists. This would include identifying areas of improvement and developing a plan for better promotion and brand awareness on certain programs. This project may combine research with event planning and marketing w/ digital design, newsletters, and more.
KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
- Help with new online programming for 2021 and 2022.
- Establish new partnerships with local charities
- Help organize online art classes for underprivileged groups.
- Arrange video interviews with visual artists.
- Support creation of online talks, panel discussion, demonstrations.
- Coordinate speakers, artists, team members to develop new programming focused on online and virtual delivery of content.
- Coordination of monthly exhibits at the Art @Bentall Gallery.
- Communication with artists, collection of information, agreements, promotional material.
- Prepare promotional materials to promote upcoming and current exhibits
- Assist with online art classes for children programs and educational programs.
- Learn about the organization's goal and opportunities in BC and Canada for non-profits.
Students will be provided access to organization information as required.

The Vancouver Visual Art Foundation is a non profit society that produces various art related events and education. Our programs objectives are to recognize and strengthen the role of artists in our communities, increase public participation and engagement in arts and culture. Activate downtown Vancouver neighbourhoods, communities and public spaces, being accessible and inviting for culturally diverse and disabled audiences, while strengthening community connections and celebrating Vancouver’s diversity.
