Details

The Manitoba Association of Senior Communities (MASC) seeks to enhance its ability to manage and track statistics and contacts for Age-Friendly communities across Manitoba. Currently, data management is fragmented and inefficient, leading to challenges in accessing and analyzing important information. The goal of this project is to design and implement a centralized database system that will streamline data collection, storage, and retrieval processes. This database will enable MASC to efficiently manage community statistics, contact information, and other relevant data, thereby improving communication and decision-making. The project will provide learners with an opportunity to apply their knowledge of database design, data management, and user interface development. Key tasks include requirements gathering, database schema design, data entry interface creation, and testing.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a fully functional database system tailored to the needs of MASC. This will involve a comprehensive database schema, a user-friendly data entry interface, and a detailed user manual. Additionally, a report summarizing the development process, challenges encountered, and recommendations for future improvements will be provided. The deliverables will ensure that MASC can efficiently manage and access community data, enhancing their operational capabilities.
