To enhance workplace efficiency and organization by implementing lean manufacturing principles, such as the 5S methodology. This project aims to identify and eliminate unnecessary items, tools, or equipment, streamline workstations, and establish sustainable practices to reduce waste and improve overall productivity.

Deliverables

Conduct a Workplace Assessment: Evaluate the current state of the workplace to identify areas of clutter, inefficiency, and potential waste.

Implement 5S Methodology:

  • Standardize: Establish standardized practices and procedures for maintaining order and cleanliness.

Monitor and Evaluate: Gather feedback from employees, and make necessary adjustments to ensure long-term sustainability.

Develop a Report: Compile a detailed report summarizing the assessment, actions taken, and the impact of the waste reduction efforts on workplace efficiency.

Mentorship

Staff will be available to provide strategic direction for the project and answer any questions students may have. We will schedule daily/weekly check-ins depending on what is needed.
