Details

The primary focus for the student will be:

  • Strategy - Develop an implementation plan for entering a new market; develop a go-to-market strategy; identify new funding and grant opportunities, write proposals.
  • Operations - Recommend process improvements or redesign processes; develop improvements to supply chain processes; introduce quality assurance into our internal processes.
  • Marketing - Complete a full customer, competitor, market, and environmental analysis; complete a marketing strategy review; design a new marketing strategy (product, place, price, and promotion);
  • Sales - Design a new/improved prospecting process for our sales team; design a new/improved pricing or service structure.
  • Talent - Design a new/improved recruitment process; develop a diversity and inclusion strategy; design a new/improved employee engagement program. Lead hiring & recruitment at OnDeck.
  • Miscellaneous responsibilities relating to scaling OnDeck as a fast-moving startup.
Deliverables

Our goal at the end of this experience is: (Indicate deliverables)

  • Strategy - For the student(s) to help us capture increased market share; for the student(s) to help us capture new revenue streams; for the student(s) to help us secure new funding.
  • Operations - For the student(s) to help us implement more efficient and effective processes that maximize employee performance/customer satisfaction.

Other duties the student may complete could include:

  • Ensure robust & efficient finance strategy at OnDeck.
  • Prepare OnDeck for incoming impact investment, grants, and other financing.
  • Map out the impact financing landscape, work with our team to identify and pursue strategic opportunities.
  • Create new finance techniques, strategy, and documentation.
  • Refine our business models and creating new ones.
Mentorship

Students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.

We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools: Slack & Email.
