Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

We would like a student to work on our pre-existing website.

Students should be prepared to:

  • Create a design proposal including wireframes or low-fidelity mockups for our company's review.
  • Assess 5n2’s information system and identify gaps that need to be addressed
  • Communicate these gaps to the management in a simplified manner
  • Update and upgrade hardware and software
  • Develop necessary IT-related infrastructure
  • Ensure all systems run smoothly and efficiently
  • Ensure security and privacy measures are in place
  • Monitor security certificates and ensure the organization’s compliance with requirements
  • Installing necessary updates to company software and hardware
  • Ensure that the 5n2 website is visually appealing, easy to navigate, accurate and regularly updated, formatted correctly and error-free
  • Monitor website traffic and customer responses to gain a better understanding of the target audience

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  • Complete and launch Salesforce
  • Conduct a comparative analysis of other related websites (landing pages, product information, etc.) to gain a baseline understanding of their USP, and to identify ideas of improvement for 5n2's website.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

5n2 was founded by Seema David in 2013 after she witnessed the horrific scenes of homelessness and hunger in downtown Toronto. Determined to help her community, Seema began to serve soup three days a week. 5n2 Kitchens was born, operating out of a shared space at the Global Kingdom Ministries church kitchen.
In early 2019, 5n2 moved into its own space where food operations expanded to keep up with the growing issues surrounding food insecurity. Programs operated seven days a week providing the community with over 3500 meals per week to guarantee fresh, healthy, and nourishing meals.
However, as a non-profit, 5n2 is continually challenged with sustaining services. At the end of last year, 5n2 was forced to relocate preventing services to operate at half capacity. As a result, 5n2 requires donor outreach and publications to spread awareness about the hunger crisis. Students are encouraged to apply to join the cause in helping feed the community!
