Details

Riipen is looking for 10+ talented “virtual” student interns and co-ops in a variety of positions to help support our functional areas (primarily, sales, marketing and client success but also strategy and people). This position is expected to run from late May until September with the possibility of extending for a second term.

Interns will work directly with our functional teams in order to support and implement strategies, including, but not limited to, sales strategy, sales enablement, demand generation, and client support to help Riipen achieve its mission of ending graduate underemployment. They will be providing critical support to enabling Riipen to reach wider audiences and support new clients.

In addition to learning about a specific functional area, interns will gain a broad understanding of operations at a tech scale up - the behind the scenes view.

The three main functional areas we are looking to support are:

Industry & Academic Sales

We call them Connecting Associates. In this role the intern's primary responsibility is to work within their team to execute sales strategies by conducting innovative, team-directed prospecting and lead generation (eg., through email outreach campaigns, personal networking, and web-based searches), schedule,support, and follow up on discovery conversations for the Account Executives and of course, accurately and consistently record activity and contact information in HubSpot (Riipen’s Customer Relationship Management system (CRM));

Client Success

Our Client Success Team is our “set you up for success team” and provides post sales support to both academic institutions (work integrated learning coordinators, instructors, co-op offices) and industry partners. Interns will get to know each current project, assignment and virtual internship posted on the platform to help “matchmake” and ensure each student is matched with a real-world assignment or placement.

Strategy, Marketing, and People

These are our smaller teams with big projects and high expectations. Working in these areas the intern may assist with social media and other inbound marketing activity, content development (research and writing), recruitment, and grant applications. Flexibility is key as priorities are ever shifting to meet the needs of our internal and external clients.

We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools: Riipen company Slack, video conference, and email.

Student's primary contact: Andrea Russell, Director, People and Culture

Secondary contact: Stephen Mandel, Senior Manager, Industry Sales
