What is the main goal for this project?

Positions available: up to 10 students in teams or as individuals

Wacky Willys is looking for ambitious creative Social Media Marketing champion/s to create various components of their a Social Media Marketing Strategy that will roll into a step-by-step implementation action plan for the company to implement.

The goal is to enable Wacky Willys to build and maintain a strong Social presence for our new commercial brand and to breathe new life into our legacy products.

Our ideal candidate/s are imaginative innovative communication and/or marketing students who are keen to engage with an exciting emerging industry and market. For this position, it’s essential to be cool with the Cannabis/Hemp Culture and be up-to-date with social medial platform apps and marketing trends. We currently use; Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, Klayvio (automated flow emails), Tido(website chat bot). None of our social media channels have been optimized to to grow our business. That’s why we need you!

If you are keen to help us with a trail-blazing social media strategic implementation plan for the legalized Cannabis and Hemp Extraction Industry, and are driven by the desire to set up an original, funky cannabis friendly social marketing assets into a actionable plan, we would be excited to have you join our Wacky Team.

Social Media Marketing Strategy with an actionable step-by-step implementation action plan.

Deliverable Options as required by the University Program:

Perform a situation analysis and a complete SWOT table.

  • Perform a social media audit, report results, and describe insights gained.
  • Define target audiences for the brand on social media
  • Explain the current promotion, concept, character, theme, and tagline that the brand is doing.
  • List how the current effort will be integrated with the new social media big idea.
  • Identify the top social channels where the target audience is active.
  • For each social network, describe the type of content, culture, and how the big idea fits.
  • Explain the content the brand can create or co-create to match target audience interests.
  • Create a brand-evangelist program to both engage and reward the brand advocates (any event/campaign ideas encouraging customer participations).
