The Podgeist Company’s mission is to utilize the podcasting platform to maximize the reach, communication and impact of cause-related organizations and businesses whose fundamental values are dedicated to a stronger, healthier and more cohesive community.
The podGeist Company uniquely distinguishes itself from others in the podcasting and video space by focusing on caused-based institutions and the development of their educational, curriculum, awareness and fundraising programs. We use a unique plagorm we call ASPIRE to help amplify our partners’ voices in education others and improving quality of life across the local, national, and global communities they serve.
Three times weekly we will meet to guide students in their respective projects. Each team will be partnered by the Founder and CEO David Yakir and any other senior executives brought in to help execute the founders vision.
About the company
David Yakir is an entrepreneur and creative business strategist in the media, entertainment and digital marketing space. He founded and led one of the first successful new media and marketing companies (Blue Marble), winning several of the industry's top awards. In 1999 Blue Marble was acquired by the Publicis Group as David moved to WPP's Y&R and Wunderman as its first global Chief Digital Officer. He has sat on the boards of two advertising holding companies as well as the digital consultant on the presidents' council of the American Museum of Natural History.
His role in the industry led to invitations to both Buckingham Palace and the White House. Recently he created The Podgeist Company whose mission is to produce and unite podcasters, sponsors, and guests whose stories benefit the communities that listen. Since 2014 he has hosted the I Heart Radio broadcast and podcast "Yak About Today" dedicated to the Baby-Boomers and the generation that is reinventing aging.
