Positions available: A team of two students

Renno & Co is looking to partner with student[s] to assist in the overall execution of our narrative building and online growth. We are looking for someone who is able to help us prepare reports, research trends, analyze performance impact, create financial models, and forecast results. The job will involve working collaboratively with the other marketers, entrepreneurs, and lawyers the story of Renno & Co and it's partners.

The role is for someone who understands both the fast-paced nature of business and startups, along with growing marketing knowledge. An active content portfolio and an entrepreneurial mind are preferred.

Renno is a boutique firm primarily based in Montreal and Toronto, but with complete digital operations. We are passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and startups throughout all stages of their journey. We understand and appreciate the complexities of their journey and the pain of pain that legal can be in that growth. About the Project

The intern’s role will be to support the Financial Operations team in process improvement, preparation of monthly deliverables, standard cost updates, and other ad-hoc projects:

a. Process improvement: assisting the continuous process of streamlining tasks, automating activities, and eliminating redundancies in the monthly close process as well as the budget forecasting process

b. Standard Cost update: preparation and analysis of standard cost update presented to leadership.

c. Assisting the team with ad-hoc projects as they arise.

To be successful in the position, we are looking for the following:

* Undergraduate student in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.

* You're knowledgeable of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.

* Must be able to collect, evaluate and interpret data, in both statistical and narrative form.

* You're a clear writer & communicator. You're able to share what you've learned with others, increasing the leverage of your research by striving to help others see things as you do.

* Bilingual [FR/EN], with additional languages being considered an asset; and

This position is a student volunteer position to start with the opportunity for growth into a more formal internship as it evolves.

About You

Demonstrate a strong desire to learn about new technological solutions for financial reporting and accounting and able to lead projects to implement insights that can result in process efficiencies.

You are highly organized with strong time management skills. “If you want something done - give it to a busy person” describes you well.

You are comfortable operating digitally. In an exponentially changing world, you understand that the tech stack used to execute mandates will continue to evolve. You are not only comfortable picking up new tools quickly but understand where trends are going and how to make the most of them.
