Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Low Entropy is a registered charity that focuses on mental health, community building, and connection through authenticity. We are looking for volunteer Video Editors to join our Stories from our Community program team! This program aims to encourage others to share their stories by starting first and sharing from the community, in hopes that it will start conversations, spark connections, and bring us closer together.

Your role as a video editing intern will be to create an engaging short that showcases the story of a community member. Your work will be paramount to the success of the program, and must be compelling and accessible to its viewers. After our volunteers conduct an interview on camera with a community member, we will give you the recorded session to edit, and it will be your responsibility to produce a polished final video to us in a timely manner. This is a great opportunity to practice your video editing skills while empowering people in the community to find their voice and share their story.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to generate engaging video content.
  • Ability to think creatively and be flexible.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Reliability in meeting deadlines.
  • Hands-on experience with editing software.

About the company

Entropy is the measurement of disorder. A chaotic and disorderly state can be said to have high entropy, whereas an efficient, harmonious state—a state of stability, order, and balance—is considered as a low entropy state.

This is why we’ve taken up a mission as the Low Entropy Foundation. We strive to reduce the entropy in our social system to nurture a more loving, respectful humanity—a caring, global family that supports and cares for one another.
