- What is the main goal for this project?

The Marketing & Event Assistant will work directly with the CEO and Founder Sharon Bonner as the company pivots to coordinating virtual and hybrid events. The intern will work with Sharon to plan the virtual events and be directly supervised by Sharon.
In addition, Sharon is starting her own consulting business and the intern will be working with her to develop the consulting website content, marketing strategy and business offering. The intern will asked to perform market research to define the target market for consulting clients.
Sharon has also created a new business www.caringconnections.ca and will be looking for marketing support on how to promote her cards in 2022.

- How will you support learners in completing the project?

Sharon believes in supporting and coaching her interns, while giving them the space to be independent. At the beginning of the internship, monthly goals are established. Those monthly goals are then broken down into weekly attainable goals.
Sharon likes to offer variety of tasks to the interns and welcomes constant feedback or suggestions on the projects the interns are working on. Once a week, Sharon and the interns will meet for 1 hour to review progress, talk about improvements, suggestions, feedback, etc.
The interns are very involved in the process and feel valued and heard. Sharon loves interns and puts her heart and soul into working with them.
