Details

The Forensic Practice (TFP) is a BC company with over 20 years of experience in developing and delivering interview training for child welfare, law enforcement, and other professionals across Canada. TFP’s investigative interviewing training is based on the evidence-based and court recognized StepWise 360 interviewing model. Our team is looking to take our social media presence to the next level in order to drive traffic to our pages. To do this, we hope to improve our search engine optimization, and create an optimal schedule for our social media posts to be uploaded.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Researching keywords to determine the most relevant terms that our customers search for.
  • Researching Search Engine Optimization requirements for us to rank on the first page of Google.
  • Constructing a content calendar
  • Creating social media content using the most efficient keywords for our target audience while following the content calendar.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities (this is basically a retelling of the steps above):

  • Compiled a list of the most relevant SEO keywords for us.
  • Created a content calendar to drive traffic to our social media pages.
  • Prepared a report outlining the SEO keywords and the social media calendar to be reviewed by the project manager.
  • Created engaging social media posts using the most efficient SEO keywords..

Bonus steps would include:

  • Tailoring the content calendar to our customers' activity levels on different times and days.

Final deliverables should include

  • Designs and writing for several social media posts to be uploaded as per the content calendar.
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with TFP for mentorship throughout the project. Considerations are:

  • What SEO keywords are being used by our company now, and which keywords have been used in the past?
  • How do we rank on Google based on different search terms?
  • When and how much do we typically post on social media?
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
