Ancestral Hands Midwives is looking for assistance fundraising to support our mission: to reduce racial disparities in maternal outcomes and improve the experiences and outcomes for Black people during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods. As all non profit organizations, we are always looking for funding to sustain our organization and we would love your help.

We're looking for students to help us:

Grant writing:

  • Research and create a list of grant opportunities
  • Compile a master list of grant answers from existing grant applications
  • Develop a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for funding
  • Complete grant applications

Sponsorship:

  • Research sponsors and partnership opportunities
  • Draft sponsorship letter templates
  • Create a sponsorship package
  • Draft communications including outreach to individuals, organizations/businesses to secure donations

Mentorship

We will provide ongoing support to students and conduct weekly check-ins. We will provide resources such as existing research and previous grant applications.
