The main goal is to catalog, analyze, and provide an engaging presentation of the impact of the community outreach initiatives and strategies by SafePlace International and its key partners aimed at increasing the acceptance of LGBTQI+ people in previously hostile, often faith-based communities across Africa.

Activities include:

• Researching and understanding the cultural and religious dynamics in the targeted communities by utilizing multiple sources, including interviews with community members.
• Collecting data on the current attitudes and perceptions towards LGBTQI+ individuals in these communities.
• Documenting the specific outreach initiatives that have been implemented.
• Analyzing the effectiveness of these initiatives in changing attitudes and behaviors.
• Identifying areas for improvement and future strategies for increasing acceptance.

Final deliverables:

• A detailed report with data analysis, visual representations, case studies, and recommendations.
• Presentation slides summarizing the key findings and recommendations, as well as highlighting key quotes and testimonials gathered from participants.

Participants will be given access to:

• Existing research already gathered by the organization
• Team members and other community members for interviews and insight into initiatives
• Existing data and a team member to answer any related questions
• Guidance on project design from the executive team
