The Centre for Career and Vocation is seeking a student worker to help develop and expand resources and supports for our students with disabilities and neurodiverse student populations, specifically within a career development framework. This project will include, but is not limited to:
- Research career development and academic resources geared specifically for students with disabilities and neurodiverse students leading to the creation of a student resource page on the CCV website.
- Create career development learning modules specifically for students with disabilities and neurodiverse students using the LMS (Moodle) to further support student experience at CMU. This resource will also serve to fill gaps existing at CMU related to vocational exploration for these student groups.
- Research and identify programs and resources that serve students with disabilities and neurodiverse students who might make good partners for CMU
- Draft recommendations for how the institution can better serve these students
Note: Preference will be given to students who self-identify as being part of these groups
Key skills and experiences: ability to apply pedagogical principles in an online environment, strong understanding of issues facing students with disabilities and neurodiversity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This student will report directly to the Director of the Centre for Career and Vocation via email and teams. The student can expect regular check-ins and a collaborative team setting.
