Details

The goal of this project is to provide an individual or small group of learners with an opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in financial modeling and corporate strategy to real-world business development tasks. The project involves identifying new potential accounts or M&A targets that align with target segments. Learners will compile relevant market and industry information to develop comprehensive lists of prospects. They will also assist in creating customizable outreach scripts and follow-up materials to enhance strategic prospecting efforts. Additionally, the project includes tasks such as data input and cleaning, sales forecasting, and sales operations to support the business development team. Learners will conduct trend and opportunity analysis, and build visualizations using tools like Excel and Power BI to help business and corporate development managers better understand performance metrics.

Deliverables

The deliverables for this project include detailed reports that identify potential accounts or M&A targets, along with a list of prospects for outreach. Learners may also be asked to provide customizable outreach scripts and follow-up materials. Additionally, they will deliver cleaned and organized data sets, sales forecasts, and visualizations that highlight trends and opportunities. These deliverables will be presented to stakeholders throughout the duration of the internship.
