Details

The main goal for the project is to create a comprehensive guide book outlining company protocols, workplace culture, community engagement best practices, and delegation procedures that will be at the core of how Nomadic Glens functions as a company.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • We are a new company which means we are starting from the ground up. You get to help us shape who we are as a company. Create a guide book that you as an employee or contractor would love to follow
  • Researching best practices for community engagement and delegation procedures.
  • Compiling the gathered information into a cohesive guide book format.
  • Collaborating with the design team to create visual elements for the guide book.
  • Reviewing and revising the guide book based on feedback from company stakeholders.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities

  • A comprehensive guide book outlining company protocols, workplace culture, community engagement best practices, and delegation procedures.
  • Visual elements integrated into the guide book to enhance its presentation.
  • A final version of the guide book reviewed and approved by company stakeholders.

Final deliverables

  • The complete guide book in digital and print-ready formats.
  • A presentation summarizing the key elements of the guide book and its importance to the company.

Comprehensive Briefing on Company Values

We believe in setting you up for success from the very beginning. You will receive a comprehensive briefing that equips you with a deep understanding of our company's values, mission, and the specific policies and protocols that govern our operations. This includes insights into our corporate culture, compliance requirements, and the expectations we have for creating an informative and user-friendly guidebook. This briefing ensures that you are well-prepared to capture the essence of our company in your writing.

Ongoing Collaboration and Feedback

Crafting a guidebook for company policy and protocols is a collaborative effort. You will have ongoing opportunities for collaboration with our team, including key stakeholders in various departments. We encourage open communication and value your ability to distill complex information into a clear and accessible format. Regular feedback sessions will provide guidance, ensuring that your guidebook aligns with our company's standards and effectively communicates essential information to our employees.

Hands-On Writing and Documentation

Your role as a student writing the guidebook offers a unique opportunity for hands-on writing and documentation. You will translate intricate policies and protocols into user-friendly language, making the guidebook an invaluable resource for all employees. This practical experience will deepen your understanding of corporate communication, enhance your writing skills, and contribute to the clarity and efficiency of our internal processes.
