Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The Green Career Centre’s mission is to prepare youth, BIPOC and newcomers for green careers. In order to secure the future we need for a just, inclusive and prosperous future we have to work directly with underserved communities that are impacted by the climate crisis. With a climate justice lens and through ongoing consultations and focus groups, the Green Career Centre bridges the disconnect between these underserved communities and green careers in sustainability. We offer resources, events, and a strong network of support in order to integrate underserved communities into the green labour market in what is currently Canada.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Students will have several tasks to complete, examples include the following:

- Establish event outlines and planning timelines for career development events

- Plan and host career development workshops and career fairs

- Research, develop and manage outreach to vendors and partner organizations
