copywriting literature reviews financial management finance microsoft teams marketing data modeling detail oriented estate planning succession planningOverview: This role supports an executive at one of Mayk’s associated companies (part of the AKCESSIA Group), assisting with the creation and deployment of various marketing strategies and collateral that promote transition support for mid-market owner operated businesses (that support includes: financial management, investment management, retirement planning, succession planning, risk management, estate planning and psychology etc.).
Project: The student or team will assist with creation of models/content for a tool/online hub related to business succession planning. The key elements/deliverables of the project they will support are:
The development of a tool that assists owners in appreciating transition options (at the time of a sale or succession) for mid-market companies.
· They will provide conceptual data, modelling and craft part of the “story” for the tool, including:
o Coordinating the collection and analysis of data/flow of information related to content development
o Developing supporting financial model(s)
o Conducting literature reviews, as required, or validating sources and process
o Research (as required), analysis and creation of summaries related to resources and services––ultimately preparing summary/recommendation sections of a report
Expertise required: The candidate or team must be able to understand family business transition matters for mid-market companies, have an interest in family business or mid-market succession options, financing, health, contextual models and matters that impact those situations. Advanced proficiency with MS Office – excel and word- as well as working with fonts, formatting, charts etc. and the ability to craft a fulsome story for editorial review is ideal. Previous experience in a finance, marketing/publicity/publishing internship or equivalent work experience would be of value. All communications will occur in English.

· Experience with or the ability to learn Power BI
· Knowledge of financial and business transition planning
· Strong writing skills
· Attention to detail and an analytical mind-set
· Excellent organizational skills
· Ability to collate information and interpret data
