Details

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Information Technology Services team. This project offers a unique opportunity for professional development in a collaborative university environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing user support, system administration, data management, software development support and project management

Deliverables

1. User Support:

·      Provide first-level support to students, faculty, and staff, addressing hardware and software issues.

·      Assist in resolving help desk tickets and provide timely solutions.

·      Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive end-user experience.


2. System Administration:

·      Support the administration of servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure within the university.

·      Monitor system performance and contribute to maintaining the security and integrity of data.

·      Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures specific to the university environment.


3. Data Management:

·      Support data backup and recovery processes for academic and administrative systems.

·      Assist in maintaining data accuracy and integrity across various university databases.

·      Contribute to the development of data management best practices in an academic setting.


4. Software Development Support:

·      Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to support coding, testing, and debugging activities.

·      Assist in the implementation and maintenance of software solutions tailored to university needs.

·      Participate in the documentation of code and processes.


5. Project Assistance:

·      Contribute to IT projects within the university by assisting with planning, coordination, and implementation.

·      Collaborate with project teams to meet academic deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

·      Provide regular updates on project progress to team members and university stakeholders.

Mentorship

Weekly check in meetings and feedback throughout the process.


Some projects may meet more frequently than others. Supervisors will support students throughout the entire process.
