content creation social media social media advertising marketing social media strategy promotional materials detail oriented blogs communication social media marketingOakville Crusaders Rugby Club are looking for creative and proactive Social Media Marketing interns to join our Cru Media Team and help manage, enhance, and optimize our social media channels.
This team will have behind the scenes access to the running of North America’s largest Rugby Club, and the unique opportunity to make a real, noticeable difference within the company. Working directly with the Communications Director, this team will be responsible for organizing and running marketing campaigns over our social media platforms, creating original content for all channels, producing live video segments during matches and game recap blogs, weekly event email blasts, and organizing promotional materials and activities.
Responsibilities:
- Creating content, including text posts, video and images for use on all business social media platforms that are consistent with the company’s brand identity
- Setting up social media ad campaigns to increase engagement and target new audiences
- Promoting products, services and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with an organization’s brand and social media strategy
- Communicating with social media followers, including responding to queries in a timely manner.
- Developing new social media strategies and campaigns and working on seasonal campaign content
- Suggesting recommendations to adjust the social media marketing strategy for optimal results.
- Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
- Writing the text/copy for social posts & ads, with keen attention to detail when it comes to spelling and grammar
- Basic photography skills
- Comfortable with Canva
- Able to learn new marketing tech platforms quick
Direct daily contact and guidance from the Communications Director
Weekly team meetings and group working sessions
Specific project deliverables and goals
Access to software required to complete tasks.
Access to wifi while onsite (students will require their own laptop and cell phone)

Crusaders Rugby Club is a registered non-profit organization that has been growing participation in sport and rugby in Oakville and surrounding communities in the GTA for over 50 years.
With three divisions: seniors, juniors and minis the Crusaders Rugby Club welcomes all players from 4 to 74!
The club offers summer camps, rugby 7s programs, offseason training programs in addition to our 15s programs.Rugby fosters and teaches camaraderie, respect, courage and discipline.
The club is committed to providing a program for all players to develop both their rugby skills and their love of rugby.
