rotoscoping student placements mixed media animations
Details

This student placement will contribute to Animated Creations based on documentary interviews. The students will evolve an animated sequence in reference to the topics articulated in the edited shots. Specific scenes will be assigned to participating students to Rotoscope, or trace, the faces presented, and also devise a brief narrative segment involving the spoken words.

We want you to animate the stories, and elaborate the difficult issues that are relevant to young people on a personal and philosophic level.

These are self initiated projects, but I am seeking several candidates. Each student would generate a unique proposal and animate the proposal consultation with the Director of the project.

Deliverables
  • Review subjects in relation to thematic content relevant to the team member and devise a plan to develop the animation.
  • Organize imagery through various mediums and relay the stories through the images in regards to the personal narrative threads as a visual inspiration board, or a traditional storyboard.
  • Research the schemes based on the topical events that are visualized through the interview and integrate the animation within the character's perspective-of-view.
  • Animate the proposed scheme with the chosen dialogue that interests the students aesthetic goals in consultation with the Director of the Animation.

Mentorship
  • Direction as to how to pursue the animation process.
  • Technical guidance to produce, edit and complete the animation.
  • Criteria of the schemes to address the deliverable animation to be used for the production.
