Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Our members are at the heart of what we do, and their recruitment is critical to our organization’s success. Finding individuals, organizations and who can invest their time in our mission, whether as members or volunteers, is our goal. We want to find ways to optimize this process so we can find great members faster, promote Hospice Palliative Care in our Community and also spend time educating government officials and the community about the work they do.

We would like students to help us with the following activities:

  • Document the current state of our membership and document a step-by-step recruitment process to increase our membership by 50% by the end of 2022.
  • Create visualizations, i.e. Visio or data flow diagrams to help us identify strengths and pain points in our recruitment process.
  • Assess our current process and make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.
  • Document and map a target state process that we can use to engage and retain our members and the new process.
  • Provide an analysis on the current cost of membership and provide a comparison to value add based on price.
  • Identify new members to engage that are within the professional level; such as; GP's, nurses, social workers, councillors, etc.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will get the opportunity to suggest, review and implement a membership engagement and retention strategy that the association will use for 3 years and get ongoing support through out the process with weekly check-ins.
