Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The Starfish Canada is looking for 1 intern to lead 3 Book Club meetings and write a two-part article series summarizing our organization’s monthly Book Club discussions on an environmental book of their choosing (pending approval from the Editor-in-Chief). The goal of the project is to publish 2 high-quality articles about our discussions on the assigned reading for that meeting.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

The intern will work on the articles post Book Club meetings to summarize the discussions held each month on the assigned reading for that meeting. This internship will span 60 hours and will also involve collaboratively leading our monthly Book Club meetings. The intern is required to write 2 high-quality articles and submit them in a timely manner to an editor.

To accomplish this, we expect the student will:

  1. Lead 3 Book Club Meetings (1 every 3 weeks) for The Starfish community with the Editor-in-Chief
  2. The student will submit 2 articles (600-800 words each) summarizing Book Club discussions in a creative and engaging way.
