About the company
Hope+Me -MDAO is a community-based mental health services provider with more than 36-year history. We support adults, youth, families, and caregivers, who experience mood disorders, early psychosis, and multiple mental health or addictions issues, all through sophisticated and standards-based peer support, including individual, group and family peer support. Our peer support facilitators are, for the most part, volunteers, and all have the lived experience, that is, the personal knowledge about mental illness gained through direct, first-hand experience or experience supporting a loved one, family member, or a friend. All are trained and working within guidelines, evidence-based standards, and a community of practice approach. Other evidence-based services include system navigation, our “warm” line, a range of innovative, evidence-based programs using art and comedy, as well as anti-stigma and recovery programs such as WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plans) for specific demographics.
